Office of Medical Education (OME), Registration and Student Records (RSR) Director Job Description The Director, Office of Medical Education (OME), Registration and Student Records (RSR) provides leadership support and overall administrative direction for all areas within Office of Medical Education (OME) and Registration and Student Records(RSR).  This position has oversight for all staff within the office. Serves as FERPA Officer for the SOM - interpretation and implementation of University FERPA Policies. Maintains detailed knowledge of the academic and conduct policies of the SOM, regulatory requirements of state and federal agencies. Ensures the continuous quality improvement for all education programs. In conjunction with the Senior Associate Dean, plans and implements strategic initiatives for the undergraduate medical education program and RSR. Develops and coordinates new programs and oversees their management. Provides administrative supervision of all aspects of the academic programs within the division. Oversees the staff responsible for maintaining the operations of the office.  Ensures that resources needed to administer educational programs are adequate. Coordinates and ensures appropriate preparation for LCME site surveys and compliance with standards. Serves as a project manager for all medical education initiatives. Functions as a liaison between education leaders to ensure proper integration of all aspects of the curriculum with the current curriculum to ensure a smooth transition. Takes a lead role, in collaboration with the Senior Associate Dean of Curriculum and other Deans, in disseminating information about Undergraduate Medical Education program. Responsible for the planning and budgeting for the office. Ensures faculty staffing for various education programs.  Manages human resource issues including hiring, performance management and development of staff, with approval by the Senior Associate Dean. Custodian of academic records includes retention and security. Contributes to the formation of academic policy and procedures within the SOM, and communicates and interprets them to students. Signatory responsibility for licensure applications, alumni credentialing, USMLE, NRMP, Transcripts, Enrollment files for the National Student Clearinghouse, Certifying Official for AAMC Student Record System (SRS) and Veteran's Administration. Provides enrollment and demographic data to the appropriate University, Federal and State Agencies. Create and maintain Official Academic Calendars for the SOM. Coordinates enrollment, registration, scheduling and grading in University Data Management System (SIS-ALBERT) as well as SOM applications. Monitors academic progress and tracks graduation eligibility. Oversees Visiting Student Elective Program.  Maintain course catalogue and provides curriculum management support for education program. Actively participates as Ex-Officio member of the PreClerkship, Clinical Boards on Academic Standing and AOA Committee. Performs other duties as assigned. Education:  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.  Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience:  5-10 years years of experience within the field of medical education or related field required.  3-5 years leadership and management skills required.  12315752_182779

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
