Director Of Nursing EmergencyJob Description The Director of Nursing Emergency Department is responsible for the overall direction and daily operational activities of the Emergency Department including planning, budget, personnel, quality improvement, coordinating clinical services, policy development and collaboration with Department Chairman, administration and departments/services to ensure service excellence and high quality patient care.   MAJOR JOB DUTIES: oEnsures that patient care is delivered by qualified and competent nursing staff. Ensures development of master staffing plan for Emergency Department in accordance with the plan for the provision of patient care. Determines the requiredqualifications and competence of departmental nursing personnel who provide patient care. Ensures orientation, in-service training, continuing education of staff, and appropriate related documentation in all employee files. Effectively works with management staff to identify opportunities for performance improvement and assists in the development of performance improvement plans. Ensures that Employee Job Descriptions are reviewed and revised as needed. Assesses staff competency and completes written performance reviews annually. oSupports the organization's mission to provide excellence in patient care. Participates in establishment, evaluation, and revision of the plan for provision of patient care based on the patient population served. Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of care. Develops, implements and evaluates business plans, policies and procedures for patient care in collaboration with Administration and Department Chairman. Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement concepts and the Ability to participate in developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities for improving the delivery of patient care. Provides leadership for multidisciplinary process improvement activities for unit specific and hospital wide initiatives. Participates in hospital and medical staff committees. oOversees annual budget preparation in conjunction with Department Chairman, Nurse Managers and Assistant Nurse Managers, including capital, supply, and personnel needs. Monitors, evaluates and adjusts budgetary needs to ensure cost containment and appropriate allocation of resources. oPursues learning opportunities, remaining current with clinical and management practices and trends. Keeps abreast of latest developments, trends, and advancements in nursing. oProvides educational opportunities for professional growth and development of staff. Establishes a working environment that stimulates employees to set and achieve goals and objectives. oCommunicates effectively and consistently with staff, holding regularly scheduled staff meetings. Maintains visibility and availability for all staff. Participates in intra-departmental and interdepartmental committees/ meetings to foster integration and communication. Ensures a cooperative/collaborative relationship with administration, medical staff and others in planning, directing and providing patient care. oActively participates in the assessment, recommendations and acquisition of technologies to improve services, processes and productivity for the delivery of patient care. Utilizes management reports and metrics to support decision making, planning and evaluation related to operations. oPerforms other duties as assigned.   Education:Bachelor's degree Nursing, required. Master's degree Nursing, Business or related field, preferred.   Licensure: Current and valid NYS Registered Professional Nurse license, required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), required. Nurse Administration Certification and  Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), preferred.   Experience: 3 - 5 Years Nursing Management experience in Emergency Department of Level 1 Trauma Center with a minimum of 50,000 annual patient visits, required. 3 - 5 Years Nursing, required.   Skills: Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership and management, team building skills; In-depth knowledge of budgets and financial planning; Good analytical skills, report writing, project leadership skills; Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, required. 12314587_181475

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
