Manager, Admissions and Financial AidJob Description The Manager, Admissions and Financial Aid, oversees operations in the Admissions and Financial Aid Office. Works with the Senior Director of Administration and Finance to ensure his/her strategic direction and leadership for the office is appropriately implemented. Oversees all office operations and reports on these operations to the Senior Director. Ensures that all phases of the admissions process including selection, screening, interviewing and admissions committee reviews, acceptances, wait lists and rejections, and recruitment enrollment strategies are performed. Ensures applications are processed efficiently and in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring implementation of the process of screening applications, interviewing and selection.  Evaluates and executes admission decisions under supervision of the Senior Director.  Ensures acceptances are sent out based on the Senior Director and Admissions Committees' decisions.  Ensures the Medical Student's admissions and financial aid processes are performed in accordance with LCME and Title IV requirements such that their standards are either met or exceeded. Strong collaboration and approval with the NYU Director of Enrollment Management Compliance.  Oversees financial aid practices, including application process, scholarship and loandistribution, as well as debt management and counseling programs for students, working with the Associate Dean and the NYU Director of Financial Aid with dotted line reporting responsibility. Responsible for the planning and budgeting of the office. Ensures confidentiality of the student information and compliance with FERPA and the HEA (Higher Education Act). Ensures faculty staffing of the Interview, Screening, and Executive Committees. Manages Human Resources issues including hiring, performance management and development of staff, with approval by the Associate Dean.  Ensures implementation of the admissions office recruitment and marketing plan. Meets enrollment goals for assigned target recruitment area. Travels on behalf of the school for recruitment and other medical school related events. Develops and maintain close working relationships with key college/university constituents. Assists in the development of and ensures execution of the office's communication plan to prospective and admitted students. Develops and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency.  This includes but is not limited to working with the Associate Dean for identification of desirable metrics and software vendor (Z. Haber) for creation of automated reporting mechanisms.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Education:  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.  Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience:  5 years Admissions experience at the graduate school level required.  3-5 years Management or Supervisory experiencepreferred. 12315754_182781

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
