Per Diem Nurse, RD (Infusion Center)
Uses his/her clinical expertise to plan the delivery of safe, therapeutic, age-specific patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. With the patient and family central to the care, the RN incorporates the unique characteristics and needs of each patient/family member into the care delivery process. The RN works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes. The RN assures that quality care is delivered with compassion, dignity and respect as well as efficiency. The RN participates in the Center's performance improvement activities that impact patient/family and service outcomes based on professional practice standards. Minimum Requirements:
Education: Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing, required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, strongly preferred.
License/Certification: Current New York State RN License, required. Current BLS, required. Certification in oncology, preferred.
Experience: Three or more years experience in Oncology/Hematology, preferred. I.V. skills, preferred.
Skills: Good communication skills, required. Basic computer skills, required.
