Uses his/her clinical expertise to plan the delivery of safe, therapeutic, population-specific patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. With the patient and family central to the care, the RN incorporates the unique characteristics and needs of each patient and family member into the care delivery process. The RN works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes. The RN provides leadership to the team by orienting, mentoring and managing team members to assure that quality care is delivered with compassion, dignity and respect as well as efficiency. The RN participates in unit/department/institutional performance improvement activities that impact patient/family and service outcomes based on professional practice standards.
_Education_ : Diploma in Nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing required. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
_License_ : Current New York State Registered Nurse License
_Certifications_ : Current BLS (American Heart Association), required. ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred, but required after 1 year based on population served.
_Experience_ : 1 year related experience preferred.
_Other_ : Basic computer skills and good communication skills required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
