Technical Analysts
Oracle America, Inc. has openings for Technical Analyst positions in Mineola, NY. Deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. Resolve post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, facilitate customer relationships with Support and provide advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues. Be the technical interface to customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) for resolution of problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use of Oracle products. Provide support to customers who contact the Oracle Solution Center and maintain high level of customer satisfaction while meeting guidelines through electronic means.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field and 1 year of work experience in job offered or 1 year of work experience in a technical analysis-related occupation. Education or experience must include:
1. development of Java Web Applications using JSP, HTML and Java; 2. debugging SQL statements, syntax and execution; 3. analyzing database data structures and performing administration tasks relating to normal and abnormal operations (Oracle, MS SQL Server or DB2); 4. administration of Java application servers including deployment and troubleshooting deployments (Weblogic, WebSphere, Tomcat or JBoss); 5.administration and troubleshoot WebServers (Apache or IIS); 6. administration and troubleshooting of FatWire Content Server; 7. operating system administration and installation (Windows, Solaris or Linux); 8. networking technology and concepts (Software Firewalls, UDP/TCP connectivity); and 9. Authentication services including troubleshooting interfacing technology (OpenLDAP, Active Directory). Experience may be gained concurrently.
