Job Description:
Manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector who will perform inspection of 1st piece, in-process, incoming components and finished parts against drawings and specifications by using properly selected tools and techniques.
The QC Inspector will maintain documentation of inspection records, calibration and non-conforming material.
Job
Responsibilities:
Inspecting manufactured or purchased components with measuring tools, including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gages, height gages, plug gages and optical comparator.
Operating CMM machine.
Performing FAI, AQL and PPAP by accurately documenting the results.
Initiating non-conformance action in ERP system.
Monitoring quality of critical inspection tools to ensure proper function and accuracy.
Calibrating and maintaining records of measuring instruments.
Creating frequent quality reports.
Skills and Abilities:
Must read and interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T.
Experience of using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, dial indicators.
Must be dedicated, dependable and open to learn new skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ISO9001 management systems.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP is a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
